Saturday 2 PM

Donald Epidendio and TITAN rocked the house on Saturday afternoon!! His freestyle run was one for the ages, as he blasted around the track catching huge air and again running at that break neck speed that has become a trademark for Donald!! His run was beat on the score cards by Todd Leduc and Metal Mulisha, Damon Bradshaw in Monster Energy and Charlie Pauken and Grave Digger. The scores these other drivers totaled were fair, so that would indicate that TITAN maybe didn't receive the score the team deserved.

Not taking anything away from the runs from the last 3 trucks in competition. The Metal Mulisha run by Todd Leduc was a wild affair. Todd had the truck singing and dancing, meow, for the entire 60 second run.
The highlight for me was watching Todd and the Mulisha truck rocket launch off of the jammer stacks and have all 4 wheels turned in the direction he wanted to go upon return to earth. That move, along with tapping the brakes mid air, are 2 of the things that not too long ago would have gotten you fired from the seat of a Monster Jam Truck but the stars of Monster Jam and the technology of the trucks has evolved to As Big As It Gets!!!
Charlie Pauken and Grave Digger ended up winning freestyle after having a mirror image run of Damon Bradshaw and Monster Energy. Both runs had tremendous flow and huge air, but the backside hit of the freestyle motocross landing ramp was the kicker for Grave Digger to go to victory lane!!

Saturday Night

There Is Just Something About A Saturday Night at Monster Jam!!!
Been saying it all year, and week after week it proves out!! Tonight it was a roll over by Damon Bradshaw in Monster Energy, vicious freestyle runs from Donald Epidendio and TITAN and Charlie Pauken piloting Grave Digger. The fans were raucous all night long but by the time we got to freestyle it was deafening!!!
First metal carnage of the night came from Todd Leduc and Metal Mulisha. During the wheelie contest the Mulisha truck started to smoke and by the time Todd hit the final race lane the truck was up in smoke and on fire!! A $50,000 race motor blown, but Todd was out of the truck saluting the fans in Reno to a standing ovation!
Damon Bradshaw in Metal Mulisha provided the next metal carnage during their freestyle run. Damon was just getting into the flow of his run when he hit one of the jammer stacks a little off kilter and sent the truck over onto its side. The positioning of Monster Energy kept Damon from romping the loud pedal and maybe being able to bring it back up off of the sidewalls of the 66" tires, but the fans were delighted in the crash!
Donald Epidendio and his TITAN truck were simply off the hook in freestyle. GIANT air and that unrelenting, hair on fire pace Donald sets is truly going to make this guy a name that will not be forgotten in the annals of Monster Jam history!!
And speaking of history. What will Charlie Pauken's legacy be? He has got to be top 5 all time when it comes to being able to make a Monster Jam truck do exactly as he wishes. His team keeps a great piece under him week in and week out, but the real driving force for Charlie is the Monster Jam/Grave Digger fans, and he gives them everything possible, every time!

There was a massive amount of metal carnage today in Reno. From Ron Duncombe and Monster Trakker ruining the front steering, to Donald Epidendio and TITAN augering in off a HUGE air hit on the backside of the FMX ramp and sheering off tie rod ends ending his freestyle run short, and the capper was Chalie Plauen and Grave Digger rolling over after a tough rebound from a rocket launch hit off of the jammer stack. The crowd was in frenzy all day long thanks to the STARS of Monster Jam!!!
